Dustan Neyland is an experienced defense attorney who has tried many types of cases to a jury. He is locally and nationally recognized as a top lawyer and has been named to the list of the Top 100 Criminal Trial Lawyers, recognized as the Best Lawyer for 2013 by Living Magazine, and has been named to the list of Top Houston Lawyers for 2013 by Houstonia Magazine for the practice area of Criminal Defense.

Dustan has over 10 years of working in law enforcement and criminal justice. He has worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Oklahoma City University Police Department, the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. He has taken the skills that he learned from working for the State and uses those skills to effectively defend his clients. Dustan personally conducts his own investigation of his clients’ cases by interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence, and visiting the crime scenes. Dustan is well respected in the legal community and has earned a reputation as an attorney who won’t back down and will fight for his clients. His hard work and dedication has resulted in hundreds of dismissals, trial wins, and refusals to indict by a grand jury. Dustan continues to hone his investigation and trial skills by regularly attending forensic science, investigation, and legal seminars.

Dustan is the first lawyer in his family. He was raised in San Antonio, TX and attended college at the University of Texas – San Antonio prior to moving to Oklahoma to attend law school. His mother was a teacher and his father worked for the federal government. His parents instilled a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed which Dustan has exhibited in the defense of his clients.

After completing law school, Dustan moved back to Texas and was hired as an Assistant District Attorney by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. After prosecuting for the state and learning how the state builds a case against the accused, Dustan left the District Attorney’s Office and opened the law firm of The Law Offices of Dustan Neyland. In 2013, Jeff Greco and Dustan Neyland combined their law firms and formed Greco ♦ Neyland, PC. Our firm zealously defends clients in both State and Federal Court who have been charged with a criminal offense.
